Leading With Vision

“I have been working on the concept of cultural awareness, cultural diversity and integration for over twenty years.”

Dr. (Hon.) Daresh Nahar founded Global Unity and has led its journey for two decades, from its first community gathering in Glasgow in 2005 to today’s registered Scottish charity.

How do I get tickets for Global Unity events?

Call Dr. (Hon.) Daresh Nahar on 07999 440201, Shaukat Ali on 07762 871446 or Lewis Fotheringham on 07851 166398 to reserve your tickets. Payment can be made by bank transfer to Global Unity (SCIO).

How much do tickets cost for the April 2026 celebration?

Tickets for the Eid, Navratri, Easter & Vaishakhi celebration on Friday 24 April 2026 cost £10 for adults and £5 for under 12s, including a great buffet meal. Tickets are non-refundable.

Where are Global Unity events held?

Our events take place around Glasgow’s Southside, at venues including Pollokshields Community Centre (15 Kenmure St, G41 2NT), Pollokshaws Burgh Hall and St Ninians Church Hall on Albert Drive.

Is Global Unity a registered charity?

Yes. Global Unity is registered in Scotland as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), charity number SC054734.

Who can attend Global Unity events?

Everyone is welcome. Our celebrations bring together people of all cultures, faiths, ages and backgrounds from across Glasgow and beyond.
